About

Recycling & Waste Management

What began as a small, family-run paper shredding business in 2001 has grown into a trusted leader in recycling and waste management in the Midwest. The second-generation, family-owned company serves residents, businesses, industries and municipalities throughout Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Northeast Wisconsin, and Northcentral Wisconsin. Known as the Swiss Army Knife of regulated waste streams, no waste management job is too big or too small for Country Mile. Country Mile is committed to applied sustainability through the professional collection, management, and disposal of waste.

Country Mile Document Destruction

Inspired to offer reliable, responsible waste solutions to clinics, municipalities, and financial institutions, the Younk family opened Country Mile Document Destruction in 2001. Today, paper is still in use, but so is electronic communication. E-waste is an ongoing issue. Thus, Country Mile Document Destruction began handling e-waste to complement its mobile paper-shredding services. Country Mile provides secure destruction and disposal of confidential paper documents, plus computer e-waste. We ensure that sensitive documents and media never get released back into the market.

CM Environmental strives to keep recyclables and appliances out of the U.P. landfills, back yards, and ditches.
